with Annie Rzepecki of Willis Towers Watson

Every year, IABC St. Louis recognizes our local communication rock stars. But receiving a coveted St. Louis Quill Award means more than a handsome plaque to display on your office wall. Peer recognition creates opportunities – for you, for your team and even for your clients.

Just ask Annie Rzepecki, whose Willis Towers Watson (WTW) team netted two awards for benefits communication excellence in the 2015 competition. For WTW, taking the time and effort to submit a winning entry is smart business.

“We prepare and submit entries on behalf of our clients,” says Annie. “It’s a token of our appreciation for their partnership.”

By choosing to enter the St. Louis Quill Awards as a co-contestant, WTW fosters positive client relations. They also leverage their winning entries in numerous ways–in conversations with current and potential clients, by sharing winning entry materials internally to inspire colleagues and as examples of what it takes to constantly push the boundaries of exceptional work.

“Our clients invest an enormous amount of time and budget into developing meaningful communications that help educate and motivate their employees,” explains Annie. “Willis Towers Watson believes this hard work should be celebrated and shared with the network of communication professionals.”

The benefits of entering the St. Louis Quill Awards competition are many. In fact, some of the most cited rewards include:

  • Shared recognition – agency clients love it; bosses do too.
  • Competition is healthy – constructive feedback from national judges is an exceptional experience to learn
  • It’s fun – every awards event is unique, memorable and exciting.
  • Receiving peer accolades is awesome!
